Boston Common - hands

This was taken during a trip to Boston. People in the Common that bright fall day must have wondered what was going on: An old man, lost in thought, was pacing through the park, followed by a duck-walking photographer.

The truth is that I didn't know myself why those hands affected me so. Only after long reflection did I realise that that's exactly how my grandfather looked from the perspective of a five year old boy following him on his walk.
