Pensive Boy - Pentecost Island

This boy was one of about a dozen who came to Sara airstrip to watch our plane land. Most of the time he was laughing and goofing around as boys are wont to do. But when left to himself, he quickly became reflective.

I suppose the scars around his eyes may have something to do with that.
